Following a successful grant application in September 2021 to the Huntingdon Freeman’s Trust, we were delighted to recruit a mental health and dementia caseworker to support clients within the Huntingdon Town Council boundary.

The role was required due to an increase in referrals from the Huntingdon area with mental health conditions and dementia being a significant factor.

The caseworker’s role was to provide the following:

• Basic advice and support
• One-to-one advice and form completion
• Tribunal representation, where appropriate

Thanks to the support from Huntingdon Freeman’s Trust, we appointed Lucille to the role, who has supported over 100 people and attended over 50 local outreach sessions.
