| Cost of Living Payments 2023-2024 Payments to help with the cost of living if you’re getting certain benefits or tax credits. The next payment is due between 31st October and 19th November. Please see the following link for further information. | Find out more |
| Winter Fuel Payment A Winter Fuel Payment is a one-off, tax-free payment made during the winter to help with heating costs. It is made to households that include someone over State Pension age. Most people born on or before 25 September 1957 will usually qualify for a payment in 2023/24 (the date changes yearly). Most payments are made automatically during November and December. If you apply for the first time, you should receive your payment before Christmas. The amount (between £250 and £600) you can receive each winter can vary according to your personal circumstances. Your age or other people living with you who are also eligible can affect the amount you receive. | Find out more |
| Warm Home Discount Under the Warm Home Discount Scheme, you could get £150 off your electricity bill for winter 2023 to 2024. The money is not paid to you – it’s a one-off discount applied to your electricity bill between early October 2023 and 31 March 2024.
