Attendance Allowance
Attendance Allowance (AA) is a benefit available to individuals who have reached State Pension age and require support with personal care.
You may be considered to have care needs if you need help with everyday tasks such as getting dressed, using the toilet, or having someone to ensure your safety and prevent harm.
This allowance is available regardless of the type of disability or illness you have.
To be eligible, you must have required assistance with your care needs for at least six months. If you are terminally ill, you can apply immediately without waiting.
